Scared of Silence of the Lambs?
These girls in my Intro to Film class asked me what I want to do my prject over.
I told them I want to do mine over women in Mystery Thrillers such as Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Bone Collector, and Silence of the Lambs.
Every movie I said the girls would nearly shriek and cover their faces.
“THOSE ARE SO SCARY! WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO ANYTHING OVER THOSE?!”
“Because, these movies aren’t focused on - “
“I couldn’t read or watch Girl With The Dragon Tattoo! I got halfway through both and just stopped. It’s too scary!”
Seriously? These movies are “scary”? I wonder what the fuck they would do with Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dawn of the Dead, or anything along those lines.
Ugh. I hate girls like that. They wouldn’t even let me explain why I wanted to do those movies.
I want to do those because these movies, the female characters don’t wear skimpy outfits. They’re not focused on the female’s body.
I don’t have time to fully explain my project right now. But all I can say is it was dumb how they reacted to the movies I plan on writing over.
Ugh. Pussies.
Day 11 - Favorite Elizabeth moment: Ugh, all my favorite moments are from this movie. All the characters were so funny, but this is one of my favorites of the whole movie.
